I was thrilled to participate in the film, especially since it involved shooting a Christmas story in early summer. Everyone was very organized, and the shooting timeline was clear about which scenes to film and when. Terry and Alessandra shared a clear vision and communicated exactly what was needed to the team at the right time. Everyone was considerate of the crew, and as a film student, I can say this was one of the best sets I’ve ever joined. Rather than feeling left out, I truly felt respected as a member of the team. A Highlight? Making snow was one of my favourite parts. To recreate the feeling of winter, we spread fake snow around the house. Decorating the entire place with Christmas ornaments really made it feel like celebrating Christmas in early summer. And honestly, who doesn’t love Christmas? I think the biggest thing I learned was how to set up camera angles and shoot when major VFX work is planned for post-production. Even though we used practical fake snow, it wasn’t enough to cover the entire yard or roof, so VFX was expected. It was such a valuable opportunity to observe how to adjust angles on set to make the effects work seamlessly later. I feel so lucky to have been part of this project. Now I can’t wait for the real snow to arrive!
